Recurve Bows will have a more noticeable curve limb compared to a longbow. This makes the bow easier to shoot in close quarters and will usually shoot an arrow faster since the limbs are wider and thinner resulting in less mass to travel forward upon release compared to a longbow. However Recurves are louder since the string will contact the curve of the limb when an arrow is shot. If you have a long draw, say over 29 inches, then finding a Recurve that doesn’t stack or feel like it stops pulling can be difficult. Fedora Bows have been designed to fit long draws. We have four different lengths of risers and two lengths of limbs to make the long draw feel comfortable for all length draws.
